Volunteering in schools, serving on school committees, and attending school events are great ways to be involved in schools.  Yet, families are also the most impacted by education inequities, are the most qualified to answer questions regarding the quality of any school improvement plan and cannot afford to shy away from education policy discussions.  Families must participate in these discussions to create positive change.  We build the capacity of family and community members to meaningfully engage in solution generating processes and to effect systemic change on a variety of levels.
